It is about a love for someone that is very real. She is not a figment of imagination. She exists. And he loves her greatly. Not in a way most people have ever experienced. She is something that draws him under any circumstances. She, however, doesnt exist in reality the same way that she exists in his mind. She is close, and when he sees her, he sees the image that has been built around her. The pain is in the reality. She isnt real. She is perfect in his mind, but in reality she is the exact opposite. He cant explain why he loves her. He cant explain why he cant resist her, even though she is the most painful thing in his life. She draws his life out of him and he knows that even though he happily gives, she isnt real. The image of her in his mind, and who she really is, have no correlation. The sight of her instills images and thoughts that only apply to the girl who lives in his mind, and she becomes the object of his misguided love. The pain comes in the realization that she is not real. He still has the feelings for this girl, but he knows that she isnt the one he is in love with. He knows that he has to move on from it, but forever will those feelings be there. He will always love her, for things that she isnt. He fights with himself knowing that his feelings for her and who she is can never be the same. They had a relationship, but it was not a good relationship.
